Slip roller

For years I have wanted a slip roller and have had to either make do or drive to a friend's workshop and use his. This has been handy but not very convenient.

The trouble with slip rollers of any worth is they are too big and heavy. I just do not have the room for one in my shed, plus they are also very expensive. Even a rusty old secondhand one on eBay starts at £500.00.

So, necessity being the mother of invention, I designed and made my own. It's a reasonable size and bolts to the back of my welding table in just a few minutes. Then, when finished with, it takes a couple of minutes to unbolt it and tuck it away until I need it again.

I just need to make a nubber for cone rolling and add some knobs to the adjusting screws.

Very pleased with the outcome of this.
