The Cotswold Sculpture Park

"It’s been a pleasure to feature Martin Jarvis’s sculptures at Cotswold Sculpture Park during his first season with us. His work has brought fresh ideas and a distinctive energy to the park, which our visitors have thoroughly enjoyed. We were delighted to facilitate the sale of one of his pieces and have seen strong interest in others. We look forward to seeing more of his unique creations in the future." Tadd Hartland

Owner of the Irregularity Edition 1

We first came across Martin’s sculptures at the Altered States Sculpture Exhibition at Shaw House in Newbury. We were immediately impressed by the scale, design complexity and standard of his work.  It didn’t take long to decide that we must have a piece of his work in our garden, the only difficulty being deciding which one.

Having decided on The Irregularity due to its unique and constantly varied motion, dealing with Martin was a pleasure with delivery and installation dealt with by him personally at very reasonable cost.

We are now delighted to have this piece as a central feature of our garden. We continue to be impressed by Martin’s rare combination of design flair backed up by his incredible technical knowledge and skills necessary to bring his creations to life.  The sculpture impresses when stationary, but as soon as a breeze develops the fascinating motion of the various elements never fails to entrance us and our visitors.

Thank you Martin.

Mark Chittenden owner of the Vortex Mk2

I have known Martin for some time through his bike racing days, we are both engineers and I was away on a trip with Martin when he showed a video and photos of the Vortex  mk2 . I was very taken aback by its mechanical and mesmerising movement I commissioned him to make me one , that is now proudly installed here at home in oxford with Martins help and catches even the slightest breeze .
We have added solar spot lights so we can see it in the dark and the reflections at night are amazing.

Another amazing talent Martin has is  knife making .
I commissioned him to make a chef’s knife , I gave him parts from a lemans winning car I had worked on and he used them to make the handle of my chef’s knife .
I have had this knife now for 3 years and have not had to sharpen it once the quality is second to none.

So I fully recommend that if you love quality engineering and something a bit special then Mesmerising metal is the answer to your needs.

Paul and Hilary Inskip Owners of The Irregularity Edition 2 and Celestial Fury

After contacting Martin we went to his (surprisingly small considering the work produced) workshop and agreed for him to make an “Irregularity edition 2” for us. However that was not the end. During the visit we fell in love with the Dragon piece “Celestial Fury”, currently shown on the front page of his website. After not much discussion we bought both and a short time later Martin arrived to install. They are both now admired by everyone who visits our garden both for their sculptural elegance and their engineering master work. We watch the dragon move as a weather vane all of the time, he has become our GoTo item for checking wind direction. Idea- Inspired, Construction - Excellect, Fitting - Perfect, Enjoyment - Limitless. Thanks and well done. Paul and Hilary Inskip
