Work in progress

Cascade of Reflection
A new design on test, not quite finished, a few tweaks here and there and a bit more polishing.

Medium sized Crescent Trinity
Nearly finished, just tweaking the balance. Need to add a little more weight to one of the moons. So alittle more welding and polishing, nearly there, hopefully this will be the final tweak.

Customers medium sized Crescent Trinity
Nearly finished, just tweaking the balance. Need to add a little more weight to one of the moons.

Crescent Trinity
Long way to go yet but the new Crescent Trinity is coming along

The new Dragon
Starting to to take shape now.

A long way to go but beginning to take shape

Legs
Trying to work both legs together to keep them identical in shape and size. Also it is too hot for welding so I am doing a bit of fabrication while the welding shed cools down. Then turn off the fans and do a bit of welding. Then turn on the fans and go back next door and do a bit of fabrication.

Covering the legs
Adding 1.5mm st steel sheet, shaped and welded to the wire frame. All made from scrap blades

Dragon Leg
Taking much longer as I am experimenting with different techniques and have to search for suitable material, or adapt what I have and make it slightly differently to how I planned in my sleep the night before

Taking shape
Starting to build the shape.

Rear legs
Not making this easy for me. I am making this out of the metal I have in stock but mainly from scrap metal. I have taken apart some of my failed sculptures and using what I can from them

Claws.
Started on the feet and hands first. Not sure if this is the best way to start.

Dragon Mk 2
Working on another Dragon. This one is going to have far more detail and as I can not afford to buy in any metal I am cutting up some of my failed kinetic sculptures to use the metal from them.

The Crescent Trinity
First test of the Crescent Trinity. Of course there is no wind. It needs better balancing but have decided I am not happy with the bearing mounts so I am going to modify them so they are capped and the bearings are hidden.

Mini Eternal Flame
The half size Eternal Flame is taking shape, quite a challenge making it half size

Twisted
The half size tower for the Eternal Flame did not go so well. A little distortion crept in during welding

3 different size towers
Hlaf size Eternal Flame Tower and a Medium size tower for The Crescent Moon I am working on.

The Crescent Trinity
Working on a new medium sized piece, 3 crescent moons

Celestial Fury
The Dragon Now finished and now named Celestial Fury

The Dragon
Stainless steel welded sculpture of a dragon

The Dragon
Working on the rocker arm. 2m long arm that will rock and swivel in the wind hopefully giving the impression of flight.

The Dragon
Been trying to clean all the welding oxide off, but even with the pickling acid it is not working as well as I would like. Trying to source an electro polishing company to give a clean.

The Dragon
Finished the Dragon now to decide on how to mount it.

The Dragon
He now is covered in scales. About 600 of them. What a time consuming and fiddly task that was

The Dragon
I wasn't entirely happy with the proportions of the Dragon so I put him on a weight loss / body building program, he is now a bit trimmer with slightly more muscle. I am now on the more tedious process of making and fitting the scales. This is really tricky as I have made them out of very thin stainless steel so they are difficult to weld.

The Dragon
Soon be ready for some scales

The Dragon
Coming along nicely

Sculpt welding the dragon legs
A slow process of building up the shape of muscles and tendons by building up the metal with weld.

The Dragon starting to take shape
Going better than expected. This is proving to be very challenging to make.

The Rushes
Stainless steel table top sculpture, It can also be mounted directly to a fence post.

The Dragon
Stainless steel welded Dragon , a long way to go. the head is taking shape

Small table top prototype
A table top prototype kinetic sculpture. Stainless steel, Brass and aluminium.

The Eternal Flame
Sunny Sunday and looking good. Hopefully get the polishing finished this year and the metal is on prder for the stand but won't be here until next year

The Irregularity
This has been quite a challenge to get balanced, could still be improved on and hopefully will do that during the final finishing.

The Eternal Flame
Nearly finished now, still a little more refinement to the finish and I have the tower to make for it. Very pleased with it so far.

The Eternal Flame
Fabricated from 316 st steel and fitted with stainless steel sealed bearings. Not finished yet but looking good for the first test.

The Irregularity
First test of this new piece, still a fair bit of work to be done
