I have not had a lot to do after Carfest. I spent Saturday afternoon engaging with visitors at Shaw House. I have two potential commissions through visitors at Shaw House, but nothing solid yet. I stopped off to chat with one of the prospective customers and feel we are getting closer to a solution.

I also met up with some friends of my niece who she referred to me (thanks, Jess). They are very interested in The Crescent Trinity but wanted a larger version of it. I spent Sunday doing a little bit of CAD and came up with a size they were happy with, took a deposit, and ordered all the relevant materials. Hopefully, they will all be here by the middle of next week.

I am back on the new Dragon sculpture and trying to work out a way of creating a fire-breathing dragon that works like a chiming clock and breathes fire every hour on the hour. I think I am getting somewhere, but need to start buying some parts to experiment with. I want to get the ignition sorted first, and I think I have come up with a sound way of creating a constant source of ignition so that even if the wind were to blow the flame out, it would instantly reignite. I have some parts in stock and have ordered some other components. The flame, though, is going to be a challenge. I have been experimenting with different types of nozzles but cannot get the right type of flame.

I am thinking that I might try to use a flammable liquid rather than a gas, but this makes things even more complex. I think I have found a suitable timer, but I am not convinced, so I need to do a bit more research on that. I think an Arduino will also work, but I think it would be rather complicated if the buyer ever wanted to alter the timing.
