The rocker arm is still not right, adding a spring was working fine but in really strong wind it stretched, I have tried to source a stronger spring but with out luck so I have doubled it up. It works much better now but I am still not happy with it, the mechanism is starting to look ugly.
There is just way to much movement in strong winds. I don't really want to add a mechanical stop as 1 it will be ugly and 2 it would make the motion jerky and I prefer the smooth transition from one direction to the other. I will work on improving the mount for the double spring.
Part of me thinks that the Dragon itself is a good sculpture and does not need the movement to set it off. So I might abandon the rocker arm or use it on another piece some other time. Off to see Joe Bonamassa on saint Georges day so a few days off to drink, think and relax, maybe get some ideas pop in to my head while I am not thinking about them.
