From the molten heart of ancient myth, this steel dragon surges forth, its gleaming claws and steel-wrought wings a primal echo of a Ferrari’s curves or a Mustang’s growl thundering through the ages. A fusion of legend’s fire and the polished steel of a bygone race car reborn, it reigns over this car show as a timeless colossus, where retro glory and futuristic speed collide in a blaze of sculpted supremacy!
The Eternal flame and Mini eternal Flame

I took the Mini Eternal Flame and The Crescent Trinity to Shaw House today to add them to my other works at the Altered States Open Air Sculpture Exhibition. It was only going to be a flying visit but I ended spending a few hours there.

Jim, the organizer, couldn't make it, so I had to convince the staff that it had all been arranged with Jim and everything was fine so that they could let me install them. They were fine in the end, no jobsworth in attendance to ruin the day.

I had a wonderful time running into my former boss from 3TRPD, Dr. Ian Halliday, and his wife. It was great to catch up with them.

Before I had arrived he had mentioned to his wife, "Martin makes things like this," when she noticed my name on the list. Then, while I was setting up the Mini Eternal Flame, he quietly approached me from behind and began commenting on it. I thought I know tha voice, turned around, and there he was.

I adore those utterly unexpected and impulsive moments.

I engaged in some very flattering and complimentary discussions with several visitors about my work. Overall, it was a fantastic day.

Forged in myth yet alive in motion, Celestial Fury takes flight on a three-metre rocker arm, surrendering to the breath of the wind. The dragon, eternal symbol of elegance, ferocity, speed, and beauty, finds its reflection in motorsport — where machines breathe fire, chase horizons, and command untamed power with breathtaking grace. Just as a race car roars across the track, this dragon soars against the sky — both thrilling us with the fury of freedom and the wonder of motion.
