Feeling annoyed with myself for making such a stupid mistake, the rocker arm in its present state is not going to work. I have it perfectly balanced end to end but as soon as you tilt it either way it falls and stays tilted just like a kids seesaw as the weight is to high above the fulcrum. It was so blatantly obvious I really don't know how I failed to see it when i designed it. Thing is I really can not afford to scrap the rocker arm due to the material cost. My first option was to move the pivot higher, so I drilled a hole as high up as I could and will have to fill in the previous hole, but that didn't work. It did improve it but not enough. It was still working like a kids seesaw.  I then made a leaf spring that did work but looked ugly. I thought about adding a bracket to the top of the arm but again it would look hideous. A sleepless nights later I came up with the idea of putting a weighted pendulum fixed to the bottom of the arm, this would correct the centre of mass, but agin thought it would look ugly and also be very complicated to make as the stand would also need to spin or be large enough ti hide the pendulum in. And then last night whilst down the pub I came up with the idea of using a spring in between the cradle that it rocks on. I have mocked this up with some welded bits of scrap metal and have it working as planned. So ordered some metal to make a cradle.
