Morale boost

I didn't have much to do today. Celestial Fury is cleaned up and ready for a photo shoot tomorrow. My friend's daughter, a professional photographer, has offered to come over and take some pictures for me. I think she has her work cut out for her in my small back garden, trying to get a good shot with the backdrop of my brown grass, sheds, and fences.

Since I was at a loose end, I decided to ride up to Shaw House and have a coffee. I had a wonderful day people-watching and eavesdropping a bit listening to people as they talked about my sculptures. I also chatted with some of the people and met some great individuals who have boosted my confidence in my work.

Then there was the wedding group. A bunch of unattended kids who thought the sculptures were toys. I sat there, slowly getting angrier but trying to stay calm. One of them almost knocked over one of my pieces and then shortly after attempted to climb YinYang, running and jumping onto it. That was the last straw; I lost my temper and shouted that these were not toys, this was not a playground, and they should show some respect. The three kids ran off with their rails between their legs, I expected a parent to come over and confront me, but thankfully, no one did. A nearby group of people said, "Well said."

I think I shall pop along again it has been a huge morale booster for me.

An even better maorale boost would be to actually sell something so I can fund something new.
