I popped in to Shaw House on my way through Newbury today, and I had a delightful chat with Jim Crockatt, the organizer of the venue. During our conversation, we discussed the potential for showcasing my latest artistic creations. Jim is not only enthusiastic about the idea but is also more than happy for me to display my latest two pieces. The first piece is the Half Size Eternal Flame, which captures the essence of light and warmth in a compact form, making it a striking addition to any collection. The second piece, the new Crescent Trinity, embodies a unique blend of shapes and symbolism that resonates deeply with themes of unity and balance. I am thrilled at the opportunity to share these works with the community and am grateful for Jim's support in making this possible. Shaw House, with its rich history and beautiful architecture, serves as the perfect backdrop for my art, and I look forward to the positive response from visitors who will have the chance to experience these pieces in person.

So I have dismantled them and loaded them into the van, ready for installation tomorrow.

Reflection on My Garden

My garden feels empty now, a reminder of the vibrant life that once filled the space. The absence of the usual activity creates a serene yet unsettling quiet. Although I still have the Storm Catcher, Serenity, The Menace, Wheelie Windy, and Celestial Fury flying above, their presence cannot fully fill the void left by the sculptures that are temporarily away.

Flying Creations

These five creations, each unique, continue to dance in the breeze, casting playful shadows. The Storm Catcher harnesses the winds, while Serenity evokes peace amidst the emptiness. The Menace adds drama, contrasting with the gentle elegance of Wheelie Windy, who glides effortlessly. Celestial Fury brings a touch of magic, reminding me of the beauty that remains despite the absence of the sculptures.

Exhibitions and Absence

I currently have seven sculptures at exhibitions, showcasing my work to a broader audience. While I take pride in sharing my art, their absence makes me acutely aware of the emotional investment in each piece. I hope they find good homes where they will be cherished and admired.

Finding Comfort

The thought of them finding new spaces brings comfort, as I envision them becoming part of others' stories. I hope they evoke the same joy and inspiration they brought to my garden. In the meantime, I am left with the gentle rustling of the wind, waiting for the day my garden will be filled with the art I love.
