The Dragon

The Dragon is coming on very well even if I do say so myself.

I started with the head by welding lots of bits of bar together and then building up the shape by TIG welding. Once I was happy with the head I created the basic shape of the body and wings. I am now working on the legs, these will be made in a similar way to the head with welded bar and building the shape by adding metal from welding.

The rear legs are done and I am now working on the front legs. It is very difficult to know exactly what to do as a Dragon is a fictitious beast and many people who have drawn them have their own take. Some have four legs some two. The Chinese dragon is a completely different thing. So this is going to be my take on a dragon.
