Success, Storm Catcher is finally working. I have turned the blades around and that has made a huge improvement, but still not good enough. I had 4 spare blades that I used as practice blades for the forming on the english wheel and decided to have a go at re shaping them. I made a form tool and used it in my 20 Ton hydraulic forge press that I made a few years ago. This gave them a much more streamlined shape, not as pretty as they do not have the gradual curve but they far more functional. I have fitted these four blades to one spinner hub and they definitely spin faster and in lower winds. So when we have a bit of good weather I will strip it down and make this change to them all.
